They won gold in the quick step, slow fox trot and tango competitions while the Oku rural council came second with three medals equally but with two in gold and one in bronze. The Bangangte Council came third with two medals.

The competition brought together 170 dancers from 38 ministerial departments, councils as well as public and private companies within the national triangle. Prominent among them were structures like the Ngaoundere urban council, SONARA, Douala Port, Camwater, and Dschang council.  The competition was in eleven sports dance disciplines namely; rock, salsa, lambada, jive, samba, cha cha cha, quick step, fox trot, tango, bol and bottle dance. The competition which was attended by over 3000 people saw a display by an Oku juju dance group. The innovations this year had to do with the splitting of bol and bottle dance to constituted two medal winning disciplines. The number of trophies consequently also rose from nine last year to 11 this year. In addition to the trophies, 81 medals were awarded to winners in each category. The trophies and medals were of superior quality, specially manufactured in Turkey and France.

The competition was presided at by the representative of the Toko Ekambi, representing the minister of Sports and Physical Education in the company of a representative from the Prime minister’s office. According to the president of Aneva Dance sports association, Maurice Pokam, it is important for companies and ministerial departments to be interested in sports dance as it contributes in the good mental and physical condition of worker; as the saying, a healthy body in a healthy mind. The 5th edition of the competition will be on 24th April 2016 with many innovations announced.
