The Cameroon Olympic female football team played against Northern Ireland this afternoon in their first friendly at the Turriff United FC Stadium. The encounter which was very competitive saw the Lionesses beating the Fighting Irish 2 -0. Cameroon's first goal was scored by Gaelle ENGANAMOUI in the first half and the second goal by Gabrielle ABOUDI ONGUENE in the second half. The population of Turriff came out massivelyas well as the Cameroonian population living in Aberdeen and Glasgow turned out in their numbers and were very supportrice. Both teams were treated to a light refreshment and socialising with the population before leaving for Aberdeen which is one hour's drive from Turriff.
So far no injury has been recorded and the team is in high spirits.
